Lehigh Valley Planning Commission Events

The LVPC’s 2024 Now and Next Open House event gave 200 stakeholders and community leaders from across the region a chance to tour the LVPC’s new offices on the banks of the Lehigh River in Allentown and gave them newly released data on how 21st century development has reshaped a growing Lehigh Valley. During a celebration emceed by TV Personality Tony Iannelli, they learned that two very distinct development periods – one dominated by single-family homes from 2000 to 2010 and a second marked by industrial development from 2011-2024 – helped redefine a region that added about 5,000 new residents a year over two periods.
