LEHIGH VALLEY PLANNING COMMISSION EMPLOYEES' PENSION PLAN

The LEHIGH VALLEY PLANNING COMMISSION (LVPC) is accepting proposals for Investment Advisory and Pension Plan Custodial Services for the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission Employees’ Pension Plan.  Proposals shall be submitted electronically via the PennBid Program no later than Friday February 14, 2020, at 12 PM, prevailing time.

LEHIGH VALLEY PLANNING COMMISSION (LVPC) and LEHIGH VALLEY TRANSPORTATION STUDY (LVTS) – WorkshopLV and LVTS Public Meetings, and Walk/RollLV Plan Public Comment Period Notices

The LVTS will be holding a public meeting on Dec 17 at the LVPC Office (961 Marcon Blvd, Ste 310, Allentown, PA 18109) at 4:30 pm for the Federal Certification Review Process. The review process is an opportunity to provide advice and guidance to all planning partners in the Metro Planning Organizations MPO(s), State DOT(s), and public transportation operator(s), for enhancing the planning process and improving the quality of transportation investment decisions. The Draft Walk/RollLV: Active Transportation Plan is now open for a 45-day public review and comment period beginning Dec 4th, 2019 and ending Jan 17, 2020. A public meeting will be held for the plan during this period on Jan 8, 2020 at the LVPC office during the LVTS Technical Committee at 9:00 am. The LVPC will be holding a WorkshopLV: Housing meeting on Dec 18 at the Workforce Board Lehigh Valley (555 Union Blvd, Allentown, PA 18109) at 3:00 pm.

ACCOUNTANT

The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) is seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate for Accountant. Accountant provides support to the Administrative Team, including the Executive Director, Director of Administration, and  Director of Development. Generally, the Accountant is responsible for recording and maintaining financial records and general office administrative duties. Primary responsibilities include accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank deposits, reconciliations, prepares quarterly tax filings and other required reporting and performs a variety of clerical duties under the general direction of the Director of Administration. The Accountant must enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong analytical and mathematical, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Accountant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
